This week, we’re featuring **Windsor Terrace, Kensington** and **Prospect Park South**
We’re going by this unofficial [Google Map overlay](https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1VYN-6Vkk01byUCF7P13rT6ORT5g) as a GENERAL outline as to what the neighborhoods are. It’s not a strict requirement but try not to go too far outside of the boundaries.
Some optional prompts:
* What are some of your favorite food spots or “hidden gems”?
* Any “must have” or go to dishes from those particular spots?
* Are there any points of interest or events that is worth going out of the way to visit?

One great “something to do” highlight is the [Sean Casey Animal Rescue](https://maps.app.goo.gl/sZrDzc4PD6pHfN6w5).
They’re a non profit animal rescue and you can volunteer by taking out one of their dogs for a 15-45 min walk ([more info here](https://www.nyanimalrescue.org/volunteer)). I did this like 5-6 times during the COVID lockdown year when we weren’t supposed to hangout with other people.
They always ask me if I’m looking to walk a specific dog so I believe you can request a dog if you were eyeing to adopt a specific one from their adoption page.
My favorites: Brancaccio’s, Wheated, Batata, Werkstatt, Jalsa, Le Paddock, Hamiltons, Double Windsor, SYKO
Werkstatt for schnitzel, pretzels, and beer. Great savory brunch too
Werkstatt for literally everything, it’s my favorite. Also love Jalsa, Sweet Lea’s gelato, Cafe Tibet, Thai Farm Kitchen, Der Pioneer’s baked goods, Lo Duca pizza
John’s deli makes solid sandwiches
Mexico Diner, Cozie’s Pizza, Hamilton’s, Manchego are some of my favorites
Dunya kabob! Wheated too. Castello Plan is also solid for brunch.
Brancaccios sandwiches are THE BEST and their preprepped dinner stuffs are also very good.
Double windsors wings
Wheated pizza
Mimi’s hummus
Cafe Madeline coffee/pastries/brunch
This is a duo. Hit both at the same time for take out. Maria y Ricardo taqueria for tacos &
Mexico diner for chips and guac. They’re across the street from each other.
Highbury pub for watching soccer games.
Dunya kebob, jalsa, werkstatt, king mother
Don’t forget Suzy’s Roti Parlor!
Carnival is an amazing grocery store
East Wind Snack Shop
Lots of great recs. I’d add Daytime, which has the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in the area and some of the best coffee too.
Love def pioneer but the breakfast sandwich there is not good.
Cafe Madeleine has great breakfast sandwiches too, but I’d still go with Daytime first.
Batata!!!
I’m always looking for more bicycle “friendly” spots in the area
