These Tacos are absolutely delicious!!! They are unique in flavor. I love using Chuck Pot Roast when preparing my taco filling because it is delicious and very tender, perfect for shredded beef tacos. The trick for these tacos is in the seasoning and spices used. I love grinding my own spices, I believe fresh ground gives the filling an amazing flavor, but powdered form is fine too. The toppings of shredded cabbage, freshly grated Colby Jack cheese, Cotija cheese, purple onions, tomatoes and the salsa take these tacos to a whole different level, and the flavor of the fried taco shells is like no other. You can add or leave out any ingredient if you wish, making it your own is what it’s all about. You can side these tacos with traditional Mexican rice and beans or you can enjoy them alone. They are perfect for any time of the week, whether eating alone or with family or friends, the choice is yours. These tacos will always be a winning dish.

  1. I am hooked on your videos and have tried most of the recipes. I have always toasted my whole spices, such as peppercorns, whole cumin seeds, even my powder spices not all but just a few and other spices in a dry pan on low heat until they smell aromatic. Then just like you I place them in my mocajete. It makes a big difference. I hope you try it. I love your show.❤

  2. Yum. Sabroso. I need to try these. I have noticed for a while that you are in a new kitchen. Did you finally find and settle in a new forever home? Did you come back home to Texas? Just curious. Either way before happy in your new space. Love you and your new kitchen. Just an after thought; you and your husband should do a video together, we have never seen or met him.

  3. I always enjoy the texture of shredded beef to that of hamburger. Yea, more finely chopped for taco's while strandy for tamales.

  12. Made these today and the guajillo sauce on the meat made so much of a difference. 🔥🔥🔥 my family loved them 🙏🙌

  13. Resorted to YouTube to find a different way to make the salsa for the carne deshebrada and I am so glad I found this video!!! The sauce with tomatoes, onions me the spices 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 hit the spot!!! It just elevated the flavor of my meet that I cooked prior to watching this video, my husband even said it was DELICIOUS!! I’ll be definitely watching more of your videos Rachel!

Also just wanted to add your voice is so soothing (is that weird?) lol. I can hear you all day!

  14. I’ve made that salsa twice in the past few days and it is HOT 🥵 no joke on using 15 of those chili 🌶️ de arbo the first time. The second time I only used 7 chili de arbos and I think it still rates on the HOT 🥵 scale for me. My husband loves it.

  15. Rachel could you please rate the heat or hotties of the sauce and salsa’s as you give the recipe. I’m a real
Lightweight when it comes to heat. My family likes medium heat. With your rating I can adjust how many
Chilis to add for a light heat or a medium heat. Thank you soooo much. I enjoy watching you and hope to
Make a lot of your recipes for my family. You Are the BEST!
