Mortadella pizza and chicken nuggs from Shin’s Pizza, Cypress Park


The pizza here is ok. They use good quality ingredients but the crust is too tough. Their sides are bomb though. The nuggs are essentially mini pieces of kaarage chicken and comes with a side of kimchi ranch dipping sauce.

    Went the week they opened and was completely unimpressed I also got the mortadella along with a slice of pep and it was just dry and tasteless. Service was also incredibly awkward and i had to wait like over 10 minutes for two slices to be heated up when i was the only one there. Would never come back

    A lot of hate here but I really liked my pepperoni slice – the dough tasted proper and they *are* using high quality ingredients. I love mortadella but felt that slice could have been executed better – it ate a bit too dry. The celery salad and bbq pork arancini were super good, and if they sold bottles of that ranch I’d buy several. There’s lots of potential here and they’ve only been open a couple of months, so I hope they find their groove.

    This was a trend like the last year in nyc. Room temp mortadella on top of a fresh slice. I can imagine this being good if done correctly. I would slice the mortadella thinner and put more than just a single slice. And I imagine the pizza should be good too. Never been to Shin’s tho.

    their mushroom and sausage is the best pizza they do and it’s really good. the other pizza options are only meh. but seriously, the sausage and mushroom is worth it! i also love their eggplant dish. it’s like a kung pao eggplant. wish they would put that on a pizza too.
