What is this jellyfish looking thing in my vinegar?
Making the Szechuan pork noodle stir-fry and noticed this thing floating in the vinegar they sent.

Bottle does say “some sediments may occur” on the side, but I’ve never seen anything like this before any other time they’ve sent vinegar for a recipe.

Looks like mother of vinegar to me which is totally fine, some brands normally filter it out but a little might sneak through.

It’s a vinegar mother! Completely fine and often enhances the flavour of vinegars 😊. I’d just give it a good shake and enjoy.

Oh thanks for this post. I had one come in a container and was scared to use it in making pickles. I guess maybe it would have been tastier?
