I heard about a new Izakaya that opened up in Virgil Village and had to check it out.
I was blown away by the atmosphere, creativity, attention to detail, and of course the food.
The menu isn’t overwhelming and is appropriately priced. Everything I tried was unique and delicious. Don’t overlook the “simpler” items – they all were paired with sauces and flavors that elevated them. Cocktails were great too, but less of an expert there.
Standouts for me were:
Negima (chicken oyster skewer) – perfectly cooked and came with a great sauce
Seared Albacore pressed sushi – no joke, outside of Kyubey in Tokyo, I think this was the best sushi I’ve ever had. Just go try it. I had never had pressed sushi before and loved everything about it
Overall, really excited to come back and try the things I missed this time. I advise everyone to get in before it is hard to – this becoming a tough reservation feels inevitable.
I tried most things, feel free to ask questions about specific items if you have them.

Didn’t mean to give this a spoiler tag lol mods can you help?
I’m glad to hear that! I was worried for it after Bolt had a quick, unfortunate departure in that same location not long ago.
Whats the last one?
Am I the only one offended by the “stolen cup fee”? I am sure they had many incidents but this treats every customer as potential thief and surely there must be better ways.
My girlfriend just told me today she’s taking me there for my birthday glad to hear it’s awesome! She has great taste 🙂
Just had a fantastic solo dinner there based on this review. The chicken oyster skewers were insane, what a flavor bomb. Seared albacore pressed sushi was also a standout. Terrific service, everyone was attentive and friendly. Will absolutely be going back! Thanks for the review and recommendation.
