This is the semi-classic soup from some time. I was making it and imagined describing it to someone. It did not sound like describing a soup. I feel like I am making a sauce in the slow cooker and cooking the tortellini inside the sauce as opposed to cooking the pasta and adding sauce over it.

What’s y’all’s opinion or does anyone know a technical definition of this?

It’s not soup. It’s dumb. As if premade tortellini needs to be slow cooked for hours.

I made it as a fast version, did not cook the tortellini for so long. It was definitely a soup. Looks like you need a lot more liquid, pasta does soak it up with time.

Or just eat it as a casserole.

Is chili a soup? Is a stew a soup? Anything is anything and everything is whatever you want to call it. This isn’t taxonomy and exact science. It’s a recipe on Reddit. Don’t read too much into it. It tastes good. It’s nice and warm in the winter. It’s has soupy-ish-ness. It’s a soup.

  4. I made this and mine was definitely more soupy.
