Millie Peartree is back in the studio kitchen! She’s making her Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, which uses canned pineapple and maraschino cherries for a delicious and beautiful cake that’s also budget friendly. It’s a Southern staple that’s good enough for dessert but not supersweet, so you could have it for breakfast with coffee or tea, or at any time of day.

  1. I enjoyed watching this video of one of my old time favorites with Millie's twist. But as a female chef, the first thing a pro does is wrap or tie up her hair. She is pretty with it down but sorry, not for cooking.

  2. Looks good. I love pineapple cake but it has to be real cherries not the bright red ones. Love this channel

  3. Love Chef Millie P. 🙌🏽 will always click on her videos, great recipes taught with great energy

  4. Great to meet Millie! I love her attitude, her style, and this recipe looks easy & delicious. I am now planning on making it tonight. Thanks Millie! Can't wait to see you again!

  5. Yay! Just what I needed for this weekend. I’ve all the ingredients on hand, so it’ll be my Saturday afternoon project. Thanks for the reminder to blot the pineapple 🍍 It makes a huge difference.

  6. I like your video but why don't you guys try crypto because Fear and uncertainty create major wealth. It's those who take the risk and have strong gut to endure the bloody days. When i notice extreme dips i tend to actually move more money to crypto

  7. Millie is awesome!

Back in the 60's, girls in my Long Island NY high school were required to take a course called Home Ec. We were taught how to bake this Pineapple Upside Down Cake and we loved it so much, most of us went home and made it for our families.

It brings back nice memories of when I ate sugar and grains lol!

  8. This is a delight. Especially after the joyless version that Epicurious posted earlier this week. Also I can tell you, you can make rings from a fresh pineapple if you try hard enough. 🙂

  9. Woooph! And just like that, I’m back in the 70’s, and my mama pulled that bad boy outta the oven. Mmm, mmm!

  10. I baked this cake yesterday, following this video and the recipe precisely, and served it at a dinner party. It was delicious and everyone loved it! But did you notice how the center of the cake had risen? That hump caused my cake to split apart when I flipped it onto the plate, so it didn't look very pretty. I wish Millie had pointed out in the video that the cake might need to be trimmed. Again, it was delicious!

  11. I made this for my husband tonight! He was absolutely amazed! This recipe is a winner. The cake is moist and the taste is amazing. I used a spring pan, the cake was a beauty . Thanks for sharing ❤
