So the sweet potato and apple I cooked in the crockpot with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, vanilla extract and a little salt (to taste seems wrong to put here, but it will all depend on how many you are cooking plus how sweet they are and how sweet you want it… So “to taste” you can add more after they have cooked and you can taste them if they need it, but you can’t take it away so I start light)The crust is 3 cups self rising flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg,1 stick melted butter, and 1 cup milk. I rolled it as thin as I could and still work the dough without tearing and used a bowl as my biscuit cutter. Fill half the dough and fold it over and deal with a fork. I shallow fried mine for 2-3 minutes per side.
