We just received our first box from Hello Fresh and this is how it was packed. No insulation and the ice in the main box and the meat package was completely melted. I took our thermometer out and took the temp of the meat and it was at 56 degrees. We have used other services like this before and never had this problem, not a good first impression from hello fresh

    This happened to me last week. :/ I’ve been using HF for a while now and genuinely loved it, but last week hand a handful of issues.

    1) The shipment didn’t arrive on the day it was scheduled to. HF did not reach out to me to advise of any delay. I had to reach out to them to find out if my box what still coming, and they told me it would arrive the next day due to a shipment issue.
    2) The box arrives with spoiled meats, and mushy produce. I can’t help but imagine that, during this shipping issue, the box sat out in the Florida heat for hours – resulting in spoiled food.

    I recommend reaching out on their website or app. I did and received a full refund. They may try to give you a credit – if they do, just decline and tell them you’d rather have the refund.

  2. Call and get a credit. They’ll give you one for this.

    They seem to switch to their “winter” packaging prematurely. Sure it might have been 60 degrees or whatever four days ago, but it’s approaching 90 now. A little insulation would have gone a long way to save your food.
