I had to cheat and use flour tortillas, and some might argue this is closer to a tostada, but in my world, if it’s on a tortilla, and you can fold it, it’s a taco. So, with that said, I will proclaim this to be the best fish taco ever, baked or otherwise. Enjoy!

  2. I made these tonight. Or, well, tried to make them. I did not keep a close enough eye on them, and by the 7 minute mark, the tortillas were super burnt 😣 Know your oven, folks.

  4. Looks delicious. I'm going to make them, but no cilantro. I can't eat the devil's lettuce – soapy. musty and just plain gross is how it tastes to me.

  9. Looks pretty tasty. If I was in the MidWest, I could get away with making this. Unfortunately, I'm from San Antonio where "puffy taco" means something very, very different. I'm imagining the looks I would get if I brought this to a party… yikes.

  10. The one thing I like best in fish tacos are the breaded, fried fish in the tacos, so I'm a bit disappointed that this one doesn't have that…

  11. Made this tonight with cod. Delicious, but tortillas never puffed and were almost burnt. Put the cod over lettuce with tomatoes, watermelon and the sauce. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Thanks Chef John!
