You will notice some differences. Paprika and turmeric were not used at all. It seems that cumin is the only spice that is universally used, but I can attest to paprika and turmeric tasting great with this mix.
Also I forgot about ginger, which is a wonderful addition.
I don’t typically use red pepper flakes because I’m concerned about inflammation from overly spicy food. However, red pepper flakes can be added to spice it up. I would rather use cayenne myself.
Option to garnish with cilantro at the end.
Lime can be used instead of lemon.
They use raisins, which I would never do.
