It’s one of my go to fast food places, good quality and reasonably priced. Love to get reaper flavored but lately i think they’ve made it even spicier lol

I love it. I’ve had reaper seasoning a few times, and the last time really pushed me to my limits.

Hell yeah my favorite, Reaper with lots of honey 🤤🤤🤤

I love some Dave’s! I’d eat their extra hot chicken for brunch, lunch, and dinner, and then be dead by 9pm.

I’ve been wanting to try Dave’s. They announced over a year ago that they’re going to open locations around Seattle. I’ve been waiting. The first one is finally looking like it’s going to open pretty soon.

As far as fast casual chains go, probably the best. Just about any local joint blows it out of the water though

I enjoy them but unless you always have the same chef it isn’t consistent. It’s delicious regardless. But heat varies. I have had reaper that feels mild but I’ve had people who are heavy handed and it’s sooooo hot. But sometimes that’s the fun. Like Russian roulette of heat.

  7. I’ve never even seen a Dave’s. Don’t think any are in my area. The pictures look tasty though.

Only had it once so far but the tenders were not very tender and the meat really dry. Hoping it was a one time issue and it is good next visit.

Really wanted to like it but too expensive for what it is here.

I used to be ride or die for Dave’s, and while I still enjoy it, I eat it pretty infrequently now. When I first tried Dave’s years ago it lit my shit on fire. There are 2 near my house, and I don’t know if it’s my location (suburb of Los Angeles) or my tastebuds but extra hot is now barely spicy, and reaper is nowhere near hot enough to need a waiver.

Imo reaper doesn’t taste as good as the extra hot. So I usually get one sandwich and one tender, one extra hot for the flavor and one reaper for the spice. However, I will say that even though I believe they massively toned down the spice the food is still really delicious. If I’m only in a half hearted spicy mood, Dave’s is my go-to.

Only had it one time, the reaper was legit hot (hotter than Hattie B’s hottest). I found it pretty good for a chain. Sounds like I should try it again just to see if it’s as inconsistent as you guys suggested.

It’s alright. It’s not even close to howlin ray’s though.

Man I ate the reaper one a few days ago. Signed the release and everything. It was sooo weak (medium heat for me) that I had to confirm that they gave me the right thing. Very surprising as I was preparing to get rekt but didn’t at all.

Very delicious slider, though. Will eat it again and hopefully it hits me harder next time.

For reference, I eat a couple of raw peppers like aji charapita and pineapple for every meal so I probably have a bit of a tolerance.

  14. I had it for the first time a few weeks ago up in Ft Collins. The extra spicy was awesome, but the reaper took me to the ropes- I could only eat 3/4 of that tender.

I already commented but I just saw that you live in LA!!

Dude, Hawaiian Hot Chicken. Off the menu Level 5. Holy hell. The spiciest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had

  16. ZellNorth

I keep trying it and keep getting disappointed. Lower spicy levels are good flavor but no spice. Higher spice levels are spicy but no flavor.

    S Tier

I make it a point to eat there as often as I can

  18. Don’t know yet. They’re building one near the target where I live. I definitely want to try it when it’s out.

  19. NoCalHomeBoy

Dave’s is pretty good. Mind if I ask which city you’re in? Not sure how far spread Dave’s is

  20. invisiblekid56

It’s good for a chain but pretty mid by any other measure.

Three times I’ve been do daves chicken, the reaper hasn’t been insanity hot. The fourth time I went, the reaper chicken fucked me up. I finished it but it was hard to get through.

It’s really just dependent on who’s working

  22. Benny_Baseball

It’s good but I really prefer the tenders because the chicken sandwich is hard to eat (the pieces of chicken are just too big/thick/messy). Really good level of heat and I like the seasoning though.

  23. Flat-Ad4902

What am I looking at? What is this sorry ass bun?

    Chicken looks phenomenal though.

  24. Sir_Encerwal

Honestly it is the best heat I have ever gotten from a chain.

  25. steralite

It’s not as good as the great local place here but it’s much closer and right by the movie theater I go to almost every weekend so I get it quite a bit. I like the Extra Hot

  26. Hairspray16

10/10. Pro tip, order 3 single tenders instead of the 2 tenders with fries combo. Costs only 2 dollars more and you still get 3 pieces of bread

  27. heels_n_skirt

I tried their reaper at the new one in Vienna VA and it’s not even hot at all. I went there thrice too be sure.

  28. TheSoupWhisper

Am I that poor? $15 for a tender and a sammy? Seems steep for me .
Love it though and my wife loves the cucumber watermelon lemonade

  29. lpcomingsoon

I love it! I get reaper and it’s definitely a little uncomfortable for me but I never enough to stop me from doing it again. tbh I think their fries and the dipping sauce they come with is the best thing they’ve got going
