My friend gave me, what he claims to be, a Carolina Reaper from among the peppers that he has grown and just harvested, but I think it looks a little bit off for being a Reaper?
I’ve wanted to try to eat a whole raw Reaper for a while now, so I did, and while this one did have a significant amount of heat, I doubt that it was actually a Reaper, as it simply wasn’t THAT hot. I’ve tried Reaper based (non-extract) sauces before that were much hotter. This pepper was more like an extra hot habanero.
What type of pepper do you guys think this one could be?

Looks like a Trinidad scorpion I put one in my burger last Sunday and then had to take off work due to the squirts.

Maybe it isn’t but it looks very similar to Armageddon peppers I grew this year.
