Went to Party City around noon for Halloween costume parts and there is a Biryani & Co. in the same shopping center. This is at Balcones Woods & Research/183. Itโ€™s the parking lot recently famous for where the Lyft driver took off with Tux the cat.

The lunch special combos here are a huge deal! For $13ish I got a plate with both chicken biryani and a chefโ€™s special chicken curry with naan, plus a hot bar with snacks and two soups. One was a goat stew. I really liked the Gobi 65. I wouldnโ€™t rank the biryani as high as some of the best Indian restaurants but for the amount and variety I food I think itโ€™s a good deal. I was told this is the only location since one closed in Houston. They may open one in Leander in the future.

When I was leaving a woman came in wanting to put up a poster for the Shen Yun show. Iโ€™ve always wondered whoโ€™s behind that hustle (pic). ๐Ÿ‘€

I wish the CIA would fund my dancing career…

Who does have your favorite Biryani?

  2. Biryani & Co is (was?) my go-to for spending DoorDash credit, they might be delisted now as they do from time to time. But their malai kofta really hits the spot. I agree their biryani isnโ€™t like 10/10 amazing but itโ€™s really solid, like an 8/10, and usually has a ton of meat.

Havenโ€™t been for the lunch special before but this post has me interested for sure.

Shen Yun is spawned from a bizarre cult called Falun Gong, and the play is a revisionist history performance supporting a return to a monarchical government for china. Its been theorized that its a CIA supported psyop to promote anti-communist sentiment within chinese cultural centers in US cities. Regardless of any political backing, Falun Gong are nut jobs.

Edit; oh and biryani and co is great! Glad you enjoyed it.
