   This is one of my favorites. I’ve never added the sugar, though.

   Agreed, I found it disappointingly boring. Also I didn’t add the sugar but I know that wasn’t why I didn’t like it. On the contrary I think the added sugar in many of the sauces is strange, unnecessary, and problematic.
