My sibling is visiting next week and we usually end up doing at least one day of a food crawl. They sent this article, saying it might be fun just to eat our way through the food stalls in Bryant Park. Anyone have any recommendations?

My experience has been that everything is overpriced and portions are small. Not worth a special trip, or even a casual trip. It’s for tourists venturing east from Times Square.

I’ll basically side with everyone else that it’s probably not a great idea, but I’ll put in a couple caveats.
I like the Bryant Park market, mainly just for walking through, but one of us will generally find a gift for someone while we’re there. Of the various big ones, I think it’s the nicest.
In terms of food? I dono, hot <drink> and pickles on a stick are generally what I end up eating. Every so often there’s something good, but generally about 1 or 2 things a year get me to spend money. So it’s not a good ‘food crawl’ but it is a nice experience.
I will say that everything I’ve heard about Laksa Shop is good, and their Mama Lam’s stuff is delicious (though pricey).
Around Bryant Park is a lot of good food also. Angelina of Paris, Ole and Steen, two Japanese grocery stores, Kati Roll, and a number of other options.

By the way, the same operator, Urbanspace, also runs the holiday markets at Union Square and Columbus Circle. From my experience there’s a huge overlap in vendors so no need to visit more than one of these markets (or any of them for that matter)
