Cool to see some small spots like Yuki and P. Thai’s Khao Man Gai on the list with more expected high end spots like Este.

I went to Underdog with my wife a few months ago. It was some of the most overpriced, completely average food I’ve had in Austin.
It was like they were going for a “fine dining” decor and food presentation, but forgot the food needs to taste really good too.
This is an odd list and too long, diluting the title of “best”.
This just feels like a list of all the notable restaurant openings this year. Wonder why he felt the need to name 25 and not say, 10.
Happy to see All Day and Wee’s mentioned here.
Yamas was a disappointment for us. The dishes were so big it was hard to not over-order for two people and still get an appetizer and dessert. We wanted to try everything, but it was just too much and too expensive. The fried feta appetizer was good, but it was literally a whole-ass block of feta and nothing else for $18. I got the Seafood Youvetski and it was maybe 4 mussels in the middle of a HUGE bowl of orzo for $38. For me, Gracia is better quality and a better experience. We go there all the time and have never been back to Yamas. IDK. Maybe if you had a big group it would be better? Of if you want content for your food blog?
Allday and KGBBQ def deserve the highlights!
Where Dans?? 🧐
