    The Yenta [$12 (x2)]:
A JewBoy (1/3 LB FRESHLY GROUND BEEF SMASHED OVER SAUTEED ONIONS ON A WICKED HOT FLAT TOP GRILL. FLIPPED ONCE, TOPPED WITH TWO SLICES OF CHEESE THEN STEAMED TO MELTY PERFECTION. FINALLY IT’S PLACED ON A FRESH POTATO ROLL. TOPPED WITH CHOPPED LETTUCE, PICKLES & MUSTARD.) with a latke of your choice placed directly on the burger.
    * latke: hatch green chile & cheddar cheese
    * cheese: pepper jack (girlfriend had cheddar)
    * added after cashier suggestion: spicy ketchup & “special sauce(?)”

    Basket of Tots [$6.50]

    Basket of Onion Rings [$8]

    –––

In short: not cheap, but fucking incredible. The burger was massive (not even considering the added latke). Everything was H O T & came out very fresh! The tots & onion rings were about as crispy as they come. One of the best burger joints in Austin, no question!

the latkes and burgers are delicious. the owner is super cool too

  3. Desper8lyseekntacos

Biggie’s yardbird is where it’s at.

  4. Extortion187

Try Buddy’s next! I like theirs a little bit more than JewBoy

  5. cdent713

Not a bad burger but nothing special. Could make the exact same burger in my backyard. Minus the latkes

  6. ASecondTaunting

Jew Boy is mediocre. The burgers are always burnt and taste like salt/grease was accidentally dumped on every part of the meal.

Ayyy, finally some positive love for JewBoys Burgers. Been awhile since I’ve had it, but it was the first burger I had in Austin and like it so much got it again.

  8. seriouslyepic

I like the burritos more than the bugers tbh

  9. Maximus77x

I honestly cannot believe how many people are saying this place is mediocre. It’s a really good burger, the burritos are delicious and very under the radar, sides are tasty, and the vibe and service are great. What more do you want?

Oh, it’s “pricey.” Well, welcome to Austin.

Moe is such a good dude, it’s nice to see him succeed. I went to jewboy burgers brick n mortar on opening night and I’ve seen him open 2 or 3 more places since then! I love the oy vay guey, normally like veg on my burgers but the chilis balance out the cheese well. Don’t forget the sidral, and a black and white cookie for dessert!

I’ve been a couple times. The burgers I had the first couple times were alright, but the meat was almost… unseasoned? The most recent time I went, though, it was absolutely incredible. A revelation. I had the burger of the month, and it stacked up with any burger I’ve ever had. Absolutely incredible. The meat was great, the Guinness cheese was great, the pretzel bun was great.

Have you tried the burrito? It’s amazing…..

  13. Pale_Calligrapher425

The O rings look like Whataburgers, but I like them, so I’ll check it out.

  14. Love the latkas! I go for the burritos every time I am in town. Usually order burgers for lunch and burritos to go!

  15. One of my favorite burgers in town, and the owner is a real mensch. The point of sale system was offline during my first visit and the owner insisted on giving me $30 worth of free food since I didn’t have cash and there was no way of paying for it. I was so blown away by that act of kindness that I went back a few days in a row and basically went through the entire menu. Everything on there is great, especially the burgers and latkes. I grew up in a Mexican border town and the style he makes are very reminiscent of the Mexican-style “hamburguesas” down there. I think using steam to finish it off is the secret.

No doubt jewboy is good, just not worth the price.

  17. Okay_Way_9637

Y’all might not like it, but Junes All Day has the best burger/fry combo in town. Then when you add bacon?! Next level.

    Expensive, but worth every penny.

  18. i like yellow mustard a lot but i dont like basically drinking yellow mustard on my burger. its ok but damn do they need to chill on the yellow mustard. burger is ok otherwise

  19. ProfessionalCandy583

Wait the name is jewboy? What does it mean wat

  20. do they have a brick n mortar location? tried the Violet Crown food truck a handful of months ago, good stuff!

  21. BassGlass6914

Not the best burger I’ve had, but they are still good and the owner is amazing.

  22. ATXLoveMouse

My brother came in from Seattle this weekend and had heard of Jewboy. We went and he loved it! He couldn’t stop talking about it. He loves Austin food, now it’s back to my diet.

  23. Tactical_Tubesock

I just happened to be in the area and i was so hyped to finally try it and… I was disappointed.
