At the beginning of this year I couldn’t have sweet chilli, as it was too spicy for me. I would cry eating flaming hot cheetos. Now I have tried just about every spiciest level burger in my city, hot sauces and chicken and now decided to go for a Hot Vindaloo. It was tasty but spicy as hell though I knew I was ready to go hotter. I went back and got their Extra Hot Vindaloo, the lady warned me multiple times and said she only eats at a medium as people describe any more as burning, she offered to bring me a yoghurt drink out with it which I politely declined. When it was brought out you could instantly smell the heat. I understand what “hot” means now. I’ve never been so conflicted as to if the dish was temperature hot or spice hot. I blew on it and the air blew back cold but felt like lava touching my tongue. It was bloody delicious though. Had it with some Green Chilli & Cheese Naan which really hit the spot. I was too impatient for a photo before I tasted it, so please excuse the odd pieces of rice in this, I put a spoonful in and then decided against having it with rice. I have never sweat while eating anything spicy, but this moistened my upper lip a bit. Had one sip of water at the end for hydration. I am super proud of myself.

Love shrimp vindaloo at extra hot. You’re right, it is both temperature hot and spicy hot. I take my time with it but it’s great.
