  1. One of my favorites. I do admit, I like at least a little bit of garbanzo/chickpea in this salad, along with the normal ingredients suggested here. Good stuff!!

  2. I liked your recipe the best and I know that this question is just a little late but can you use 4 beans? 5? Serious question! I LOVE 3 bean salad but can’t even find the canned stuff so I’m gunna make it! Lol also what beans would NOT work due to possible breakdown or mushing? I’m just spitballing here but what about corn or peas? Pintos? Limas? Also do you think a canned mix like Rotel be good to add?
Sorry for the annoying rambling post but I’m a guy learning that I love to cook so except what I gleaned from my moms huge attempt to teach me not much retained so I’m figuring it all out. Thank you

  3. All that vegetable oil, vinegar and sugar to just three cans of beans is crazy.

  4. This is a great every day no nonsense recipe for beginners or just for those of us who like a classic 3 bean salad. I love to have it on hand for just a quick snack. I am not a fan of wax beans so I substitute garbanzo beans. I have been know to throw in a can of whole beets that are halved (they turn into pickled beets that I love).

  5. Looks very delicious and the way video is straight to the point easy to understand very detailed information and a soothing voice to listen to. Thank you for sharing and more videos please

  6. I have been maried almost 60 years and this is so close to the old bean salad, my 60 year old Better Homes Cook Book is very close except no celery or celery seed. i will up grade the oil, use red onions, and honey for sweet. Thank You for this great old classic
