2 eggs
1/4 cup oil
2 cups milk
Broth
chicken- back and leg quarters
onion
carrots
celery
bay leaf
herbs- rosemary, thyme, sage, parsley
chicken bouillon
peppercorns
1/2 tbsp chicken seasoning
Dressing
cornbread
2 3/4 -3 1/2cups broth (adjust depending on how dry your cornbread is)
chicken meat
2 eggs
salt/ pepper to taste
1/2 tsp chicken seasoning
1/2 tsp chicken bouillon
onion
1 celery rib
1/2 bell pepper
herbs- sage, thyme, rosemary
2 cans cream of mushroom or chicken

This looks so delicious! I've made my cornbread dressing basically the same way for the past 40 years from my mom's recipe. I've never put in a creamy soup before, going to have to try that. Our feelings are the same about Martha White mixes. They seem to have a bit of flour in them. You didn't add bread crumbs, as I've had to do with Shawnee Mills and Morrison's cornbread mix. Maybe that's why.

Yes, I just had a little bit of dressing from local restaurant earlier today. I had a taste for some, and I'm definitely ready for some more before Thanksgiving, lol. I don't like a lot of meat in my dressing either, same with chicken and rice.

like the idea of adding the broth last to check the consistency. Too much broth can make it pasty and change the texture in the end. I will try this method!
Camorra I made this dressing today and OMG. This is the best thing ever. I did use my own cornbread instead of the one you used but everything else was the same.. so glad I have an IP because that broth was gold. This will be in my thanksgiving dinner forever.
