Reddit suggested this community to me and after scrolling it in my feed a couple of weeks, I couldn’t help trying some canning recipes to use some ingredients I needed a plan for. This pie filling is Arkansas Black, Honeycrisp and a few Macintosh. For those of you that don’t know, Arkansas Black is a beautiful floral apple that holds its shape extremely well. I’m posting this to keep myself from cutting into this pie before it sets. The wonderful part is that I’m going to have three more pies that will taste exactly like this one, because this is the extra that went into the fridge and one jar that didn’t seal because I overfilled it and it leaked. Thanks for tempting me to do some cooking to keep from wasting apples!

Looks so pretty! I love to have apple pie filling heated up and over ice cream, or add it into quick breads too.
