I also had three serranos in the bowl. I didnβt even think it would burn my hands, Iβm so dumb. Usually when chopping peppers a quick hand wash will get everything off but submerging my hands in capsaicin rich stock was a MISTAKE

People who used to work in restaurants have asbestos-coated hands. It’s crazy what they can handle.

I’ve never had peppers burn my hands regardless of the process. I’ve not even heard of that before.

You must have some spicy pablanos, they are usually super mild.

Iβve made the green chili a couple times (itβs so good!!) and yes my skin got really irritated and felt burning for the rest of the evening last time. Next time Iβll try to remember to wear the gloves my husband bought for barbecuing
