My estimation is about 3 times hotter. (I.e. 3 tablespoons of Cholula = 1 tablespoon of Yellow Bird habanero.)

    More importantly, it’s just better.

Chohula adds heat while degrading the flavor compared to how Yellow Bird affects the flavor.

But you also have to pick the right Yellow Bird; The Yellow Bird Serrano is good on Chicken and certain fish species, the Yellow Bird Habanero is good on Beef and Pork.

Chohula is good if that’s all you can find.

That sauce is top drawer. Fantastic on many foods, but especially eggs. Scrambled, over easy, and deviled.

Love yellow bird, wish they would have kept the short fatter bottles instead

  5. It also depends on which Cholula OP’s talking about as they make about a dozen varieties.

    Live this stuff.

Also why can’t more sauces come in squeeze bottles like this. I mean it’s so much more effective than normal bottles with twist off/on caps to control where you want sauce and how much…not to mention cleaner.

Um, you will *immediately* notice the difference. IMO, it doesn’t have the depth of flavor of Cholula, although it is considerably hotter.
