I’ve been trying to stay away from big chains. I use to always go to sbux for their seasonal drinks especially CP! It just taste more artificial now . Maybe it’s just me. I was on the hunt and found some shops online that make their own! Even found a chestnut one! It actually taste like chestnuts! What a surprise. anyone have a shop they love because of their house made syrups ?! Do you make your own?? How hard can it be?? I’d love to do so myself !

    Syrups are super easy. 1:1 water:sugar as a base. Hot water helps the sugar dissolve, doesn’t need to boil, though. Then add an extract (start with a little and add to taste), or boil ingredients in the plain water, strain, then add the sugar in the same ratio. I’ve done lavender, ginger, chai spice, pumpkin spice, and maple spice (sub about half of the sugar with real maple syrup) with this method.
