Project Disco just opened during the nighttime hours at Progress Coffee + Beer.
It’s on the stretch of I-35 access road near 32nd St between Chicas Bonitas and the adult boutiques (Dreamers & Le Rouge). It’s quite the strip. Ahem.
They have full bar and a Dancing Cocktail menu. Three of the four are tequila based. I started with the Disco Inferno, it’s served with a little glowing bulb and has the strongest alcohol taste of the four. A little briney like a Mexican Martini, less sweet. I liked all of them but I’m usually good with any well made tequila drink.
Also found out there’s a speakeasy in the back yard inside a box truck. Visitant Social Club. Will have to go back to check that out.
