Wild rice takes longer to cook, so it should be fine.

I’d guess you’d be ok since it’s wild rice which takes longer to cook.

Wild rice takes forever to cook on the stove top and requires a lot more water than white rice or brown rice. I make chicken wild rice soup in the crockpot and the rice is perfect at 8 hours.

I just made a casserole in my crockpot and added the rice first then put liquids on the rice , the chicken, then the rest of the liquids. The dish turned out fine.
