Been cleaning a bunch of old jars I found and most of them I got all nice and shiney again. This. One. Jar. No matter what I do. It dries cloudy. I have tried soaking it in vinegar for 5 minutes, then 30 minutes, then overnight. I have tried cleaning it with CLR out of desperation (cleaned very very very deeply after). Nothing seems to work for it. Rinse it out then as soon as it starts drying, the white film comes back. Any suggestions?

This is likely due to etching. The film you see is actual abrasions to the glass which give it a cloudy, frosted appearance. You can’t remove it, and I wouldn’t use this jar in canning.
It’s a nice vintage jar, maybe check on some antique subs and see what they recommend. You did what I’d think to do. Years ago I had a nice old canning jar and I stuffed it full of twinkling Christmas tree lights and ran the cord out the back side. It was very pretty on the kitchen shelf.
