Apple pie filling. My mum always canned. She has cancer again and it doesn’t have a date so I’m guessing a few years ago when it redeveloped. I havent ever seen this. Only in rice but never canning. Wth is it?? Is this still safe like rice?

Probably an Apple seed?
That’s just an apple seed.
If it is still sealed… even if it is a bug, it’s sterile. Pick it out and make a pie!
I 100% guarantee that I can a number of bugs greater than zero every year. As do commercial processors. I have a bug strainer when I press cider because yellow jackets are drawn to cider in the fall like a moth to flame… but if they go in pre-grind… well… that’s cider now!
