personally i like my steak a little more done in the middle. this looks to be somewhere between rare and medium rare, while i prefer my steak more between a medium rare and medium. this level of doneness in the center usually feels a little to raw for me, but that’s just bc i’m not a rare steak type of guy.
but overall in terms of the crust on the outter layer, in relation to the center still being juicy and not overdone, it’s pretty much perfection. maybe slightly more burned on the edges than necessary, would get a more golden brown crisp with a slightly lower cooking temp. and exactly what temp or done-ness in the middle is “perfection”, will always vary from person to person. but as long as it aint overcooked and still has a crispy crust, it’s pretty much a perfectly executed steak. it’s clear from the am of juices on the plate that is was rested for an adequate amount of time as well. well done my friend (even tho the steak is rare 😉) sorry for the cheesy joke! hope you enjoy the steak brother!

I’ve rested meat for 10 min and had more juice. The reason there is a scale of rare to well done is because everyone loves their steak somewhere on that scale.

Perfect looks different for a lot of people. This looks beautiful and I would definitely enjoy the shit out of it but personally I prefer mine a little more rare than this one.
