  1. Happy Thanksgiving Chef! I will definitely be doing the turkey in this style on Thursday. I really like the use of the carcass to make the gravy, while cutting the cook time in half. Great Show! I will be placing my turkey on citrus wedges instead of onion, though. You got me hooked on citrus flavored turkey the past few years!

  2. I’m sure there are many people who find thanksgiving arduous, and don’t want to spend the time cooking. That is not me. I’m sure this recipe tastes wonderful, but I want a whole bird with dressing inside. I don’t mind fussing over a meal for one day in the year.

  3. Thank you chef Jean-Pierre for this easy way to make the turkey. I love the way you teach us. I learned so many tricks from your recipes. You always make me smile with your way of commenting. Thank you chef you are the best. God bless you.

  4. The BEEP BEEP edit is my favorite for the year so far, thanks Jack, thanks Chef!

  5. Exact same can be done with whole chicken for regular dinners. Divide the chicken the same way. Slightly shorter cooking time.

  6. OMG I have never been a fan of turkey , because it’s dry , but this method makes all the difference in the world , this was 100% the best turkey I have ever tasted , and sooooo juicy ….i will never make turkey any other way …thank you again for sharing your knowledge …Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family

  7. I like this different technique and simple approach to the "always-a-pain-in-the-butt" Thanksgiving turkey!!!! Thanks Chef!!!!

  8. WOW…this is one of your best videos with great tips. Never thought of cooking a Turkey this way so excited when I saw this plus lots of learning along the way. Thank you Chef JP..you made my day. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃❤️🇨🇦

  9. Love your videos. Going to not watch this one. I’m broke and broken. My family will not be having thanksgiving or Christmas this year. Along with many other Americans. Chicken in Kentucky is 12 bucks for a old tough laying hen that I still manage to make multiple meals from one. Beef is unaffordable completely. Sad

  10. Thank you Chef! The entire family loves your show. The youngest (6) loves to zoom around saying "onyon" like you do. The way you pronounce "worry" is Scooby-Doo adorable. Sharing the secrets of good cooking is a gift to us all. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.❤️ BTW, it smells wonderful in my home right now as I prepare my turkey & gravy following this recipe.

  11. Any reason you would not brown the turkey in a pan before putting in the oven?

  12. Thank you so much Chef! I will be doing this tomorrow. We will be pressed for time and space so it wiil be done on a Weber grill. Braised brisket and your turkey! God bless and Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks again Chef!

  13. So, to make turkey stock, you need chicken stock. Where did the chicken stock come from in the first place?

  14. I have watched it five times . . . taken notes like like I was in college . . . I am doing it all in the morning. Thanks chef! Happy Thanksgiving!

  15. Just a little wine he said, then he pours the whole bottle….lmao 😂🤣😂😅

  16. Thank you, Chef! 👍🤯 I prepped the turkey parts for a dry brine in the fridge. I was following another person's instructions to cook the turkey parts tomorrow in a pan first to brown the skin then put on the oven at 450F. 🤔 But – I like this method much better. So excited to try it tomorrow! 🥳

  17. @8:00 You made that look so easy! Obviously many years of experience…It took me an hour and I ruined a knife trying to get through a joint that was actually a bone… I know what I did wrong and thanks to your video, but your experience makes it look so easy. You truly are a talented professional!

  18. Chef, I have been watching you from the beginning…I have watched you make 3 other gravies for your Turkey. What one do you like best? This one had added onion in it as you were making the rue….of course butter! I always wondered if there is that one secret, that you have not shared with making the gravy that is still hidden away in your brilliant mind!

  19. Do you have any idea how good the gravy’s going to be in a couple hours at my house? I think you do!😉 Thanks!

  20. "You can rub that all over your body." Thanks, I needed that laugh along with the cooking lesson.

  21. I could have accomplished that it in 50 min! Just sayin! LOL avb (mind you I said "could have") P.S. if you want to know how…..respond to this…….I can telll you in 10 words or less. 😁 OHHH I jusr saw the comment by "@XanderDDS" I beat you by ten min. I'll see you in "Scum"….

  22. CHEF??? I just made the turkey this way, except I used a wet brine overnight, and also the stuffin' muffins, and apple crisp bread pudding!
Thank you for giving us the confidence and knowledge to recreate such wonderful meals.
    ❤❤❤

  23. I love it, I decided to confit all the legs this year, and I left the breasts on the bone so I could still quasi stuff em, but I decided to try all 3 brands of commercially available turkeys to see if there was a difference, Happy Thanks Giving Chef JP, Jack and Frens! 🦃🦃🦃🦃

  24. Well, You've done it again! I'll Never cook a turkey breast any other way! I did tie my breast like I've seen your do a beef or pork loin and it cooked evenly. Everyone Raved and wants turkey More often!! This is what Turkey Should Taste!!!
