Today, 18 November, the man responsible for creating the food stamp program passed away, in 1965 I think it was. He was Henry A. Wallace, farmer, Agriculture Secretary, Vice President, and he saw a country with so much food and so much poverty he, spurred on by his Christian faith and feeling of injustice, proposed a food stamp program for the poor and it is still feeding so many in our nation today. Thanks for these great recipes and thank God for food stamps or SNAP as they are now on cards.
