Every birthday I get a delivery from M. Manze in London to my house in Somerset. I can never get the liquor quite right at home. And no jellied eels this time.

Oh my gawd. I need this in my life. It’s been too long since I had a Manze double double. You’re right about the liquor — different places have a distinctive liquor that we each prefer. Happy birthday matey!
Ps. Needs more vinegar

When I first met my wife, she is from Manchester I’m from south London and I took her for pie n mash at manze and she had gravy instead of liquor. I know I know.

I was 28 years old when I learned what “Liquor” was.
Must be a southern thing.

The structural setup of the plate is amazing. Love the mash dam.
