Okay, I have been wondering about that. I figured it was just my specific location doing something different!!
It has definitely become WAY spicier the past like 3 months or so. It never used to faze me or my SO, but now both of us start crying after getting through half the container. So good!

It’s got such a good kick. For a national chain, it’s very satisfying.

Chipotle red is actually how I started my spice journey. Hated the pico, the green was okay but didn’t really hit the spot. The red is delicious but was spicy for me at the time, kept getting it until it wasn’t then kept going hotter.

The color is defs different than it was 10 years ago. Same with the flavor and spice. They changed something around. It used to be a bright red.

I like to get a side cup of this and take it like a shot… Don’t judge me.

We had them cater our Halloween party and yeh. Wayyyyyy spicier. People were standing under fans to evaporate sweat.

I love this stuff but it is one of the best colonics sold outside of a pharmacy.

Not gonna lie, it’s tasty next to no heat. My chipotle must be broken.

This stuff is so good but I feel terrible after I eat too much of it. Not just the burning, I am incredibly bloated

I had chipotle tonight, like I usually do once or twice a month. The tomatillo red chili salsa was considerably hotter today than usual. I even mentioned it to my wife.

This change started in the beginning of the year. There have been many post and articles talking about it but Chipotle says it’s the same recipe just a spicier batch of peppers.
Got this recently and when I chose the red salsa, the kid stops and looks at me “A **full** scoop?” I definitely thought this kid must have 0 tolerance but was quite surprised when I tasted it. Hotter than I would expect from a chain not labeling it with something to warn people. I’m betting there have been more than a few refunds requested from the unprepared…
