Anywhere in Austin with a similar tequila old fashioned? See pic
Had this tequila old fashioned cocktail at a restaurant in Hermosa Beach, CA. Was delicious and super strong- need to find somewhere here that has a similar drink.. help!?

The typo for añejo really bugged me.
A bar like Tigress on North Loop could probably replicate this for you. I’ve seen some of those ingredients used there
J-prime has a tequila old fashioned that is actually pretty solid

Small Victory bartenders are good with off-menu requests like this

I’d bet La Holly could make it

La Holly for sure

Golden rule in Georgetown has a banana old fashioned right now that’s really tasty, I’m sure they could swap out the whiskey for tequila/mezcal.

In my experience, any good bar with an añejo tequila would be able to. IANA bartender, but one thing I’ve found is that you/they should use less simple syrup if you are just replacing the bourbon/rye with tequila 1:1. Could probably up the bitters a dash, too, but that could take away from more subtle tequila.
I make one at home with Hornitos Black Barrel, but I haven’t seen that tequila at any bars (which I don’t go to often, anyway).

Comedor had one a while back, but they rotate their cocktail menu. I’m sure the bartender could whip one up though

Ruby Hotel bar in Round Rock has a great variation with Mezcal. I think the smokiness of the Mezcal goes really well in an old fashioned.

Sorry to be pedantic…but what exactly makes this cocktail an Old Fashioned? The fact that it has bitters? Because otherwise, NOTHING about it is consistent with a traditional Old Fashioned.
If you order a Tequila Old Fashioned at most bars, you’ll get tequila, bitters, sweetener, and orange rind.

This looks like a perfect cocktail to batch and freeze if you really like it OP.

CARVE has a drink called [STRAIGHT A](https://carveamericangrille.com/locations/barton-creek/#BarMenu) that’s made with “Gran Centenario Anejo Tequila, Disaronno amaretto liqueur, freshly-pressed lemon juice and a dash of Angostura bitters.” Sounds kind of similar to an [Añejo Tequila Old Fashioned](https://www.liquor.com/recipes/anejo-old-fashioned/).
In this vein we recently discovered this, which allows us to enjoy at home with friends as well. Seemed worth sharing, we make it with mezcal, though.
