Just like KFC, the hickory seasoning makes a delicious difference! You will love this recipe of my favorite Honey Barbecue Wings,
Ingredients:
2 cups barbecue sauce
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon hickory seasoning (liquid smoke)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups all purpose flour
1teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons salt
oil for fry
It is best if you use Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce mixed with the honey.
Also please make sure you dry the wings off before you put flour on them.
HICKORY seasoning or liquid smoke is usually by the steak sauces in the grocery store.
I heat 8 cups of vegetable oil to 375F

Some time this week I’m going to make some fried honey bbq wings. What I’ll do differently is marinate the wings in buttermilk mixed with hot sauce over night. I’ll dip it in seasoned flour, I’ll dip it back the buttermilk and one more time in the flour before frying.
Another thing I’ll do differently is make my own honey bbq sauce.
