Are there any restaurants in NYC with over-the-top holiday decorations like this fictional one in the movie “Genie”? (And if this was shot in a real NYC restaurant, what is the name of it?)

Rolf’s German Restaurant, look at their Instagram page. I heard it isn’t easy to get in, so I have never tried.
Lillie’s Victorian isn’t the best food but it’s not /horrible/. They have adorable decorations and quite a nice bar.

Papillion is also one. I agree with assessment of Rolf’s and Oscar Wilde. Just look at their Instagram and can see decorations. If you just go to search on Instagram and put in one of these it will recommend many more that are decked out.

I haven’t been in a couple years but Churchill tavern puts up a lot of lights around the holidays, but not as over the top as your picture.

Balthazar has a similar vibe

Bell, Book and Candle is a hole-in-the-wall spot in the West Village that has similar vibes. Also, pretty solid drinks and food.

The restaurant at the top of Eataly goes all out winter wonderland

Can everyone on here plz stop giving tourists all of my spots… there’s nothing worse than going to a over crowded bar with all bridge and tunnel people
Rolf’s has cool decor but the food sucks. It’s cool for a beer or two and then leave. Lilly’s, Pete’s tavern, paddy maguires and mollys all do decent Christmas decor

Serendipity 3… not sure if this was mentioned here already.

Russian vodka room. Also the swanky hotel bars in midtown (Lotte, Salon De Ning, Peninsula, St Regis) are usually beautifully decorated.

Rolfs is probably most well known but it’s tiny and such a pain this time of year, Panna Garden II Indian restaurant similar with lights all on the ceiling (used to be cash only not sure if it still is), Mollys Tavern, Paddy Maguires Ale House, Pete’s Tavern are all bars with lots of lights…all these places are not too far from each other either.

Connolly’s on 45th in Midtown. Was in there for after work drinks and was surprised to see it totally decked out for Christmas. I was also surprised to see so many people sitting down for dinner lol. It’s an Irish pub, offerings seem to be standard fare but I’ve only ever gotten chicken fingers here so can’t really speak to it. Good fingies though.

Why does no one ever do this – [Rolf’s](https://rolfsnyc.com/) ?
Or this – [Rolf’s Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/rolfsny/) ?
