I applaud your tape job, but think that solder would be more appropriate. And of course since we are talking espresso, please use platinum solder. Anything less will show up in the cup. /s

But I really do wonder why spending 7 bucks on an accessory seems like such a “waste” to so many of our brethren who happily part with hundreds or thousands for machines and grinders.
