Chilean food for pick up – 12/17/23

Hello r/austinfood!

My name is Danny Vargas and I live in Houston. My parents used to own a Chilean restaurant from 2003-2010. After it closed my parents started a catering company, Ingrids Latin Kitchen. I took over the family business and now I go to Austin to offer Chilean food to the Chilean community once every 2-3 months. I figured why limit it to the Chilean community and expand to all food lovers in Austin!

I have two “pickup” locations –
(I’ll update with times closer to the date BUT I usually get to the North around 1-1:30pm, stay for 30~mins and then get to the South around 3:30-4pm and leave around 5pm)

The menu I offer –

Empanadas – $ 48/dozen
Meatpies – seasoned ground beef cooked with onions and raisins, black olive and slice of hard boiled egg wrapped in dough.

Pastels de Choclo – $12/each
Corn casserole – meatpie filling topped with black olives, slices of hard boiled egg, shredded chicken and blended sweet creamed corn.

Berlines crema/manjar – $3/each
Similar to a Boston Cream donut. Two circular dough halves filled with either vanilla cream or dulce de leche and covered in powdered sugar.
