Was craving yakgwa, which I haven’t really eaten since childhood, and picked this up at a local market. It’s so bland! Blah nanugo. Dry, no especial honey or ginger taste. Which brands make it well?

Sorry to tag along, but I’ve been meaning to ask the same question! My biggest complaint though is that of the brands that I’ve tried, there is always at least one, or multiple, ones that taste of old oil, which just ruins it.

I used to buy SPC/Samlip, but not anymore since I joined the boycott. I’m in Korea and I’m fortunate enough to be able to find yakgwa from other brands or even family-ownes businesses. Hope you can find good replacements!
