Is Forma Pasta Factory any good? Saw 10 food delivery people waiting (and I know places like Shake Shake/ChickFilA have like 30 food delivery people out front, but this was a local spot) so curious if it’s any good.

I’ve tried it once and it was tasty! For $12-$14 a plate it’s a pretty good deal imo
etnom97
Pretty solid, especially considering the price. I got the pasta and meatballs. Pro tip: do not get the wine deal – completely undrinkable
eagleambush
Very good for $15 pasta
Resident_Analysis370
Super solid lunch special. Also I definitely recommend Monday’s.. their Monday special gnocchi is very good.
thethirstbk
Very good for the price, getting it delivered takes away from the freshness obviously.
lbaldassare
One of the more reasonably priced pasta spots in the area, especially for the quality. A regular spot for me, I recommend the agnolotti special they have on Wednesdays
PostPostMinimalist
IMO it’s very good, and for the price, excellent.
bloodymarybrunch
It’s delicious. They should have more locations.

I always thought that the delivery guys just chose that corner to wait around…this place is good, but there’s lots of other good places in the area too and I’ve never seen a huge crowd out in front any of them.

Forma is EXCELLENT. nicest dudes too

It’s decent and it’s very reasonably priced, which is rare enough in Fort Greene. The ordering and service process is smooth and efficient, in my experience, even when the line is long.
I wouldn’t bother ordering it for delivery, though. It’s handy for a quick and casual meal out, but I’d rather cook pasta for myself if I’m eating at home. It’s not that special, plus pasta doesn’t deliver well IMO.
tanistan93
It’s pretty killer considering what it is
TheLegendofLior
I liked it. I’m not an expert on that cuisine, but it seems pretty solid.

The one on the Williamsburg Greenpoint border is always busy. I actually prefer the salads to the pasta. Service is extremely nice. That location could easily double in size and still be packed.
Horatiotheduck
It’s quite good considering the price point. In comparison to other well recognized Italian restaurants in the city it is only just slightly above average.
When I lived in North Williamsburg and wanted cheap Italian this place was my go to
PotatoToaster9000
It’s cheap and does the job.
CounterproductiveArt
I really love it, homemade pasta for affordable prices.

Wow, thanks everyone. Now I definitely need to try it! Much appreciate the feedback.

When you see delivery ppl waiting around like that
It just a homie center meet up point , it has no indication if the location is popular or not
DJBabyB0kCh0y
The one on Bedford also has mad guys hanging outside but I always figured it’s just because it’s a good central point for all the Greenpoint/Williamsburg spots
basis4aday
It’s alright. I can boil pasta and buy or make tasty sauces for a fraction of the price.
biguk997
I think its 18 for a pasta and a wine, great deal.
mcxhale
Everything on the menu is a banger. My fiancé loves their budino dessert.
Murph523
It’s good, they seem chain-y but the quality is actually great.
yellao23
I live nearby one of the locations. Really good pasta, that I think they make in house as well. Great pricing for the quality! Great flavor as well. Its my go to for pasta in Brooklyn right now
Master-Opportunity25
it’s solid, and at a GREAT price. That’s the appeal to me

Great value. Not among best pastas in New York by any means but super super solid for the price.
insomniaspeedmetal
This place is so worth it. The staff are usually super friendly and the food is on point.
geneticswag
Thought it was just al dente Mac and cheese really. If you have no time or chef skills guess you could call it solid, but I didn’t find the value. Seems BIG with young families though.
secretsofthedivine
As others have said, far from the best pasta in NY but incredible value and consistently very good. Also the owner is a really good dude and he treats his staff really well.
bahnsigh
It’s a good deal
TofuLordSeitan666
It’s basically OK and the price is what makes it work. One of few places you can get pasta that cheap. They are trying to do fast casual pasta and crank out tables as fast as possible which is very difficult but they are successful. To do that the pasta can only be fresh and is always sort of gummy and never really al dente. If you are Italian or are a pasta lover you will understand but for anyone else YMMV as you can see from the universal praise on this thread. On the plus side, every rendition of every dish they attempt is quite competent sauce and ingredient wise.

Does the idea of takeout pasta not bother people?

Thanks everyone. Some polarizing opinions about this place but universally everyone finds it affordable, which makes it better.
I’ll chalk this up to try it for myself once but to level set expectations. Much appreciated to everyone’s feedback.
