Made a pot roast of top round roast, potatoes, carrots, asparagus, jalapeno, garlic, and beef stock. After 1.5 hours of slow cooking, I opened it up to find a layer of foam (2nd pic of napkin after scraping it out, didn’t take one in the moment). What was this from? Why did it happen?
