So I am so lazy. I’m thinking about bulk ordering roughly $100 of bulk microwave curry from tastybite to take to work. I would get a24 of them. Is it worth the money for 24 days of work lunch, or is this extravagant.

I mean it works out to about $4 a meal. That sounds pretty affordable to me. Obviously making your own would be much cheaper but it’s less than buying fast food/take out for your lunch. You might want to make some rice to take with you to fill out the meal.
Edit: To answer your question, no, I don’t think it’s extravagant.

Tasty Bite is also pretty tasty, making some tonight actually.

Ton of sodium in these and they don’t taste all that good. I would buy smaller amount to try first if I were you. Also learn how to cook rice and veggies on ur own and you’ll save even more.

Yes! I love them

roughly 6$ a pound for prefab rice and veggies…lolol.
I wouldn’t call that budget food by any definition.

Those six packs are on sale at Costco right now for about $10. You could make up the cost of a Costco membership by buying 6 boxes.

It may be worth it for the convenience for you. For many people time is money – if you save an hour on cooking that may justify this being a little more expensive than preparing your own. This is certainly more cost effective than buying lunch each day. But you can definitely prepare meat-free coconut dal for less than $26 for 6 serves if the cost savings are your priority.

You can replicate some of them with the jarred sauce. I love tasty bite too but I find I save more money by using a can of chickpeas and a jar of tikka masala or korma. It makes huge servings. I typically eat it with rice of flat bread. You can freeze individual portions for later.

I’m weird but some good ol rice and beans flavored right with some spices is better than those

I’d check Costco if you have one near you, my warehouse sells these and they’re nearly always marked down.
They’re DELICIOUS, highly recommend for when convenience is needed

Do you have any indian stores near you? They might have cheaper repeatable curries.

Can of coconut milk or Passata + chili paste + frozen vegetables or squash + spices + chickpeas or lentils = like 4 of these packages for less than $10… just throw it in a wok and let it simmer

ooh these look good, Ive only ever gotten the madras lentils (bomb) and the channa masala (didn’t like).
they’re so great for when I realize I have no food

Do you have an Indian grocery store near you? They generally have the same kind of food packs, different brands, and more variety for about $2.50 a pack. TastyBite is just the American marketing and flavor profile.
Also, these are meant to be eaten with rice or naan or other flatbread. You are going to need some carbs to go with these.

It’s all relative. I try not to spend more than $3 for lunch and $5 for dinner
