I actually like the flavor. It has smoky aftertaste that I dig, but I only ever use it in stews like pozole or menudo.

I use this as an adder. Put 2 drops in ranch and get hella hot ranch for my pizza. if i have a good flavored hot sauce with no heat, 2 drops of this and get hella hot hot sauce. Making Chili and want to add heat without messing with the flavor, 2 drops and get hella hot chili.

I also learned of Dave’s the hard way, bought a bottle 10-12 years ago without checking the ingredients. I usually do a “shot” (few ml), within a few minutes I was sweating profusely and hiccuping like crazy. I’ve only ever used it in chili and tomato sauce and even then only a little bit.

I once dropped a bottle of this and it splashed all on my foot, i had leather shoes on as i was going to wedding, managed to clean em pretty much straight away, regardless, my foot felt like i had burns by the end of the day, i was nearly in tears.

We used this for pranks all through college. Would wipe it on passed out friends lips (don’t worry we all did it to each other, and in good fun). I eventually started eating it regularly. Agreed doesn’t taste great, I like the ghost pepper one, though.

Theres a ton of literature to make your own sauces, watch that ph.
But yes most extracts taste like poo.

Put this on a sub onetime back when firehouse subs had a really big selection of hot sauces and it fucked me up. My ears were ringing, my head was gonna explode, it made me sweat, I was literally pacing around my apartment freaking out. Hottest thing I’ve had since I first had Melinda’s ghost pepper sauce but at least that had a really good flavor

I remember my dad bringing this home from Louisiana when I was a kid. We used to dare each other to eat it for fun and burn our mouths off.
Still remember the label saying it was good in chilli and also “cleaning driveway grease stains”.

When I was a kid, maybe 10’ish. My dad bought a bottle.
We went to my grandparents house and my dad busted out the bottle to have with lunch. We had hot links. My grandpa was sitting there, saw the sauce, and proceeded to empty a quarter of the bottle on to his hot link.
I did a drop. My brothers did a drop. My dad did a drop. We all took a bite and instantly had regrets.
My fucking grandpa finished his hot link. He was beat red. He was sweating. He was mad. But, he finished it.
We weren’t a spicy food family. We were just a don’t waste food kind of family.
