It’s the final day of celebrity Master Chef today um the pressure is 10f these celebrities are all passionate about food when I came in I never dreamt I would get to the final we’re looking for that exceptional cooking style someone who’s more than just a good
Home someone with that extra something special the Ultimate Prize would be to be Crown Master Chef it’s Judgment Day only one of these three exceptional Cooks will be crowned celebrity Master Chef when I entered this competition I genuinely thought I was going to get knocked
Out at the end of the first round to get to the final is amazing who knows I could be Master Chef it’s been a profound experience for me I plumbed to depths I didn’t know it could Plum
And I’ve I’ve I’ve climbed Heights that I never thought I could reach um it’s been fantastic I am absolutely like sick with nerves and bits to be very honest I am I just want to be able
To ring home and say I did it at one you would never have dreamed that when we first pick this off at the early rounds we would had three celebrities that could cook at this level and could have even survived let alone flourished in some of the environments that we’ve stuck them
In heat is absolutely intense I can’t do this completely and utterly want cry I have never seen three people progress so far I I’ve never seen so many ups and so many Downs it has been absolutely [Music] amazing I can only imagine how you must be
Feeling at the moment but me I am very very excited everything you have done so far in this competition culminates into right here three courses you have to hours at the end of this we will have ourselves a champion ladies and Gentlemen let’s Cook today they need to cook in such a way that it makes the hair on the back of our neck stand up who can present the best absolutely outstanding fabulous three [Music] courses there’s been Blood Sweat and Tears literally and I didn’t think I would care
As much as I do it’s quite odd but yeah I really care about it otherwise I won’t be so determined to win throughout the competition Andy has constantly wowed with his technical skill I think you are about to set the first real record for Master Chef in the fact of a
Dessert on the first round which I do not have a critical comment about at all but his strength of flavor has been his biggest weakness the dish you’ve made needs more spice needs more heat just to bring it [Music] alive finally the lesson hit home the fat tastes so nice
You’re getting it yeah I love it I love the fat if Andy today can just trust his instincts and just let it flow and really put some flavor in his food the title is his Annie how you doing um I’m all right hopefully pacing myself to get it right so now we’re about
To walk into Annie peters’s restaurant our three courses written on a menu are oysters on a little bed of spinach garlic and chelot bacon on top then you put that all under the grill that’ll be followed by wagu beef with a mushroom sauce and then a blueberry frangie
Pan with a Greek yogurt sbet with honey and a blueberry sauce they’re great ingredients if I cook them simply and cook them well they’ve got such robust flavors in themselves but hopefully all I’m going to do is enhance its natural flavor is that title really in your grasp
Right now Andy yes it must be I’m here I’ve got to contribute do what I can make this meal as you’re only as good as your last pudding so God help me you’ve got to love the [Music] pudding Andy baked oysters spinach cream and bacon fantastic then he goes into Wago beef with
The mushrooms really really expensive ingredients that is going to be hugely full of favor andless he does something really really wrong it’s got to be big robust and gatsy pretty is not enough today I’ve gone heal to make it all about taste taste taste taste taste and hopefully it will [Music]
Work you’ve had 20 minutes [Music] already it’s really really weird to know that you have a natural talent for something that you knew nothing about and now I’m stood here and I could actually win it’s the it’s the maddest thing ever it’s
Crazy when Liz started the competition she was a novice who quickly revealed an innate talent for cooking for somebody who not so long ago has never roasted a chicken mate I’ve got to say if I had one I take my hat off to you thank you but
Her inexperience and nerves can get the better of her my problem is the mashed potato I was hoping for something really elastic rather than this which is a bit [Music] gloopy will she hold her nerve will she deliver has she leared enough and is her
Repertoire big [Music] enough am I mistaken Liz or are you all a fluster um just got lots to do a lot a lot of things to do I’ve not I’ve not been like this over anything for a long time
Really since I was very very young I’m so excited and I’m so nervous it is quite incredible isn’t it that when you first walked in here you were frighten of an oven oh yeah you are now buying
For the big Crown what are our three dishes um first we have petta wrapped seared scallops with lemon and parsley sauce then we are having Beef Wellington with a bit of a difference and um it’s going to have cream sooy Cabbage and oxtail and pork Jew and then for dessert
We are having sticky toffee Creme Brule with a sticky tofe sauce on the side I mean excited to ask what is the difference in your Wellington it’s sitting on the puff pastry as opposed to its in it and there’s something else in the puff pastry a little surprise I’m trying to take all
The basics that you’ve taught me to grasp and make them bigger and better are these dishes worthy of a Master Chef Champion I think so I hope you don’t I would be ecstatic and very surprised to win it but at the same time i’ be absolutely truly gutted to my soul to lose
It scallops and bacon from Liz from stter absolutely fantastic beef wton not really a beef wton now this is the danger of doing Classics if you are a novice because you think you have to add something special to make it better I’m not a fan of a Twist but if
Anybody can pull it off it’s Liz with that wonderful touch and that natural palette and I’m very excited this is the final I’ve got to raise the bar I’ve got to win and I’m putting everything into winning so my dishes are definitely not safe let’s put it that
[Music] way celebrities you are halfway there 1 hour to go people may laugh that you know you could get so wound up and so emotional about food but food is is a work of art it’s about passion food is not just about
Something you eat it there’s a lot more to it than that and anyone who doesn’t think that they’ve never eaten good food as far as I’m [Music] concerned throughout the competition Mark has impressed with his passion for producing fantastic food like
His Chinese dumplings that for me is seriously impressive and twice cook baby chicken that is the cooking of a profession but under pressure he can crack where’s he gone mark he’s done a runner if he can keep his cool we know that he can cook as well as
Anybody now he has to hold his nerve and deliver three Great Courses can he I’m hoping for a smiley Mark final y you’ve got one when you grin like this you deliver fantastic food hope so but the chance of the grin lasting till the final C it’s the last day and I’m going
To enjoy every every second because it’s been a blaster hole experience what are our three courses for a starter I’m doing white and green jade soup which is basically spinach and tofu that’s going to be accompanied by um baby back ribs with um honey Hoisin to start I’m doing
Um steam Seabass with spring onion and ginger glutenous rice wrapped in Lotus leaves and for for Afters I’m doing um Li cheese and toffee apples with the sesame seeds Chinese food is absolutely my favorite food in the world and it’s different and so that’s why I’ve gone for it today
We know you cook great tasting food but today it has to look beautiful as well doesn’t it hopefully I’ll have picked up on everything that I’ve I’ve learned from the whole competition and hopefully presenting it to the best of my ability if you make truly great food is it Master Chef winning
Food ah well that’s not my decision but um it will be the winning food for me and um and I’m doing this for me today ultimately to you know to prove something to myself [Music] Mark is going
To try and startle us with this Asian food lots of technique lots of flavor I Mark’s going for broke I think he’s picked a very very difficult [Music] Cuisine presentation is Paramount for me today
Chinese food is quite rustic a lot of bit but I’m going to try and make it look as as as good as I can [Music] 5 minutes 5 minutes left 3 [Music] minutes ladies and gentlemen step away from your bench your time is up [Music]
Can Mark deliver on presentation when it counts for his starter he’s made baby back ribs in a hoisen and honey sauce with a clear tofu and spinach soup I I’ve I’ve got to applaud you I I think your food looks fantastic it just looks it’s laid out like a banquet
Well that works soft pork sweet and slightly salty that is very very mellow and very very neutral spinach iron vegetable spinach is the flavor throughout and I’m guessing it’s supposed to be that neutral because you’re supposed to wash your mouth out after the sticky exactly that yeah well well done well
Done they’re very very rich and really well seasoned so I’m hoping now that soup will start to just cleanse my palette and it does because you’ve got that lovely silk and tofu you got the richness of the chicken stock I quite like that dish I like the combination
Of the two together really like it thank you will his man have steamed SE Bass with spring onion and ginger lotus Leaf wrap glutenous rice and mushrooms go down as well it sort of teases you cuz you start off with this thing old bit of rice and some cashew nuts
Then the ginger comes in a bit of spray onion a bit of heat from the chili then the the saltiness of the soy and right at the last minute you start to get that fish and it just comes in
And fills your mouth I think the flavors are absolutely brilliant I think it looks beautiful you do big big flavors Mark and subtlety are not words you’re often going to hear in the same sentence but but that is beautifully beautifully balanced thank you his pudding
Is Li cheese and toffee apples with sesame seeds and a sweet soy dipping sauce the flavor I really love I like the stickiness of the sauce it’s it’s just that apple is a bit could be softer and if it did it
Would release a bit more juice it would just become a bit more anxious no that’s great first of all you like honey okay I get that honey Honey’s gone I got toffee Apple where the hell do tofe Apple come from the whole thing is very very
Pleasant you are I think now doing your food Justice it’s looking every bit as good as it tastes Master Chef has brought out things in me I didn’t know I had it’s just been an adrenaline rush every day has Liz held her nerve and pulled off her Classics with a Twist to begin
With she’s made Panetta wrapped scallops in a garlic lemon and parsley butter we never would have dreamed when you first walked in here that you presented food like this honestly I’m still a bit flabbergasted that it came out like this it’s like it’s it’s it’s the classics
Revamp almost I’m not a fan of revamping but I have to say this looks great thank you a slight saltiness and the minimum of chew on that Panetta bacon and then you are into sweet scallop that picks up the lemon it is clean refreshing it
Is absolutely bursting with flavor and that is a dish worthy of a restaurant really perly caught scolar the acidity of the Tomato Works a joy with the scallop it works a joy with the butter it works a joy with the garlic and altogether it’s a joy will her own interpretation
Of beef wellington with creamed cavoy cabbage mashed potato and an oxtail and pork Jew be as impressive deep soft meaty creamy rich I don’t want to go overbold but that may be one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted Master Chef that is absolutely out of this world oh my god really
I am truly truly knocked out by that that is incredible LZ God thank you I feel a bit faint some of the best Mash we’ve seen in a very very long time silky smooth beautifully seasoned absolutely perfect and most professional chefs be very very proud of put in their restaurant your
Mushrooms are seasoned beautifully your fill of beef is cooked beautifully your sauce is Rich and deep and delicious I think it’s pretty fantastic you must be chuffed I am I’m really really chuffed thank you for pudding she’s made a sticky toffee creeme brulee with a sticky toffee
Sauce burnt sugar on the top caramel vanilla tofe nice flavors Liz that is gorgeous it’s delicious cuz it’s got the sweetness of the caramel it’s got the sweetness of the toffee it’s extraordinary it just puts a huge smile on my face that you are actually cooking like this me
Too thank you it’s been a really really fabulous feeling to know that I’ve come such a long way if they said that I was the winner that would be beyond amazing honestly I would be definitely in tears most definitely when it matters the most has Andy produced three courses bursting with
Flavor for a starter he’s made flash grilled oysters with spinach shots garlic bacon and cream rich rich delicious oysters iron rich spinach the garlic is in there the cream just makes it pish soft it is fan fan fantastic love it love it love it love
It well it it happens every now and again um it’s not for me at all cream mixing in with that natural juice I like my oysters just a taste of oysters will his main course of wagu beef with a mushroom sauce green beans and fondant potatoes hit the mark
Potatoes mushrooms and beans and beef absolutely delicious absolutely delicious I think the way you’re cooking Andy make good good stuff thank you slight truffle slight crispiness softness in potato slight butter it’s good it’s gentle it’s soft it all works very very well his pudding is a blueberry frangie pan topped
With a Greek yogurt sbet with honey and a blueberry sauce really sticky alond frie pan in there with those blueberries the almonds are quite bitter the blueberries are sour but yet sweet the sweetness of the sbet on top the honey that goes through the end of it love it love it good I’m
Glad oh my word Andy Andy it looks like it’s going to be big and heavy and sticky and actually it’s as light as a feather Andy that is an absolute Triumph oh that is gorgeous I think being part of this whole competition has given me a belief
If I concentrate and I’ve never been one for big concentration if I concentrate I can do anything what a journey what a journey and what a final we have but one thing left to do
And that is to try and work out who is going to be our champion thank you very very much indeed guys well done guys listen been a absolute blast pleasure I tell you I’ve Loved this I have absolutely loved this final they have really pulled out all the stops absolutely incredible
Mark today showcased technical ability flavor and presentation that fish was beautiful absolutely beautiful what he delivered today I think was even Way Beyond what Mark expected he could do you know me now feel at my puddings that was highly unusual and very very skilled I loved that pudding loved
It that couldn’t have gone any better for me John and Greg love the food um I’m just really really really pleased really proud Andy is working in a system which is about delivering beauty of food about subtlety about Elegance the oysters were cooked just so that the iron richness of the
Spinach the saltiness of the bacon the smallest amount of cream on top of there you crunched into it and it just delivered on all sorts of levels I think it’s very very difficult to cook Wago beef
Truffle buttery potato fondant and make it work he made it work there is no denying that dessert was beautifully tasting sweet honey on top sour yogurt buttery beautiful beautiful I’m really proud of my achievements today I couldn’t have done anymore no I couldn’t have done
Anymore the best dish today was Lizzy by far I was shocked when I tasted that beef with that pork sauce unbelievable food those scallops today in bacon with the garlic and the lemon I thought were delicious you’ve got beautiful scallops you’ve got B you got parley some tomatoes on
The side extraordinary I’m really really really really scared I’m honest to God so scared it’s ridiculous I’m just so worried that you know it’s not [Music] enough right who’s it going to be Mr wallers come on this is serious my head says one thing my heart says another I’m argu with
Myself over this one the competition has been profoundly experience I’ve had real highs I’ve had real lows and it’s an experience I wouldn’t swap for the world it’s been oh I’ll never forget
It as long as I never dreamt that I’d be sitting here on the day of the final one of three people waiting for the result never dreamt it in my life to win it would just I assume I’ll just
Cry there might be some people thinking that it shouldn’t be this important but it when you work so hard it really is I just I just want to know that I’m good at something that good at something
Enough to win something so huge as Master Chef it would be Mega it would be really really Mega for me there is nothing at all that can match Andy’s technical ability nobody in this room can match and is confidence in a kitchen Mark it’s come a long way that guy really a long
Way it is quite incredible how far he come really incredible Liz is an unbelievably naturally gifted cook who is getting better and better and better at break neck speed we have three very very good Cooks they’ worked very very hard they’ve all had their ups and downs things have gone right things
Gone wrong but whoever takes this title has to be the right person the person who goes out there and continues to cook and is doing themselves proud and is learning day after day I don’t feel good the cooking today I think was wonderful truly wonderful judging this is not easy not easy at
All we have made a decision Al celebrity Master Chef champion it’s Liz oh my god [Music] welome well done well done you well done oh my God oh my God hold done well don’t oh my [Music] God oh my [Music]
God Liz is by far the best natural cook I’ve seen in a long long time oh thank you so much Liz deserves CU she’s made a massive massive J any and um I’m made up for it a
Fellow scousers one so if it could to be me I’m pleased for it well done be oh my God I’m going away with a smile on my face cuz I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved and uh it’s been it’s just been a blast the whole
Thing I’m really proud of how far I’ve come I never pictured myself in the final what this competition teaches me is you know if you put your heart to it you can do it oh my God I can’t believe it oh my God I can’t believe it it’s oh oh

All three finalists are very likeable, and accomplished cooks. I think Liz deserved to win in the end, but it was close. Hope they all still enjoy experimenting in the Kitchen.
