I’ve had this 7 quart Calphalon for about 10 years, but it died today. Recommendations for a replacement? I like digital displays so it will automatically switch from “cook” to “warm”. Thank you!

I always think simpler is better. The more “features” something has, the more things can go wrong with it.

Kitchenaid all the way. It does real slow cooking instead of just boiling everything.

would love to know this too. i need a new one as well
As others have reported, the Kitchen Aid 6 qt. I have had one since 2019 which isn’t that long but I really like it because it doesn’t overcook the food.

Crock-Pot brand. I like the programmable 6 quart. Crock-pot also stands behind their products. I had one I used for 5+ years most weeks and the crock cracked during normal use. I called to try and buy a replacement crock. They sent me a whole new slow cooker and wanted me to send back my old one. They paid for shipping both ways.

I just use a big stainless steel pot with a lid. Works great because I can use it on the stovetop to sear meats and things beforehand and then I just put it in the oven at 225F for the slow cooking part.
I prefer this to an actual slow cooker, but only started doing it once my slow cooker died.

Pressure Cooker, Rice Cooker and slow cooker
Might not be what you want but maybe worth a look just for additional functionality ?
My vote is for the Kitchenaid 6-Quart Slow Cooker. It is the one [America’s Test Kitchen recommends](https://youtu.be/h9__CI_oLwQ?feature=shared).
