Visiting Nashville and decided to get the hottest of Prince’s hot chicken. Pretty damn good! Hot, definitely tasted like some ghost pepper was in there, but I didn’t have any trouble demolishing them. I ended up eating them with my hands as the bone-in wings were inconvenient to eat with a knife and fork. I do think they’re tasty and worth trying if you’re here – but I have insane reaper-level spice tolerance. The heat isn’t a joke but if you do have tolerance it should be fine for you.

Nice. Love the picture of the evidence! To many pics of spicy things and no proof it was ever eaten! With most comments say *underwhelming in spice*. Like ok I know there are some pepper heads that could eat this no problem but I find it hard to believe it like 80% of this sub. I did the 7 pot wing challenge right before the reaper became mainstream and it knocked me in my ass. Only got 3 out of 6.
No sides?
Honestly, the Old Hickory Blvd location is still great and delicious (plus it has booze), but the heat always seemed a little hotter in the old north Nashville location.
I did this year ago at their original location. Painful, but the quality of the chicken and sauce was amazing so it was hard to stop. Only downside is at the old strip mall location I was at, you had to buy your drink from a vending machine which wasn’t very practical when I was drenched in sweat and hallucinating.
I definitely give them credit for outstanding fried chicken on its own right and a super hot sauce that was actually flavorful and delicious and not just one of those capsaicin bombs with no other discernable tastes.
Weird, I didn’t think they were hot. At all. Was pretty disappointed actually.
Go to Bolton’s next time if you have a chance and give its hottest offering a try.
If we use BWW sauces as our scale, how hot is this?
