New coffeemaker owner! Wondering is this a basket for a paper or reusable filter? Or is it a permanent filter that you just rinse? Booklet made it seem more like it’s just a basket for a filter.

It’s a reusable filter. Take that out to use a paper filter.

That’s a reusable filter, if they only intended for you to use a paper filter inside it they wouldn’t bother using such fine mesh
