No Brit would refer to a BLT as a ‘bacon sandwich’. A bacon sandwich has just bacon in it, as well as either ketchup or brown sauce.
The ‘corned beef’ sandwich pictured is not British corned beef. Ours comes from a tin and is heavily processed and a bit weird. Does get eaten in sandwich form though, probably with a bit of Branston pickle.
The ploughman’s shown is not even in sandwich form. And I’ve never even heard of a watercress sandwich before.
