    When I lived in S. Korea, I really wanted to try the fried chicken but as a vegetarian, I couldn’t find any vegetarian options. I purchased fried “chicken” from the Herbivorous Butcher, and tossed it in a [korean fried chicken sauce](https://mykoreankitchen.com/korean-fried-chicken/). Turned out so good. Added some side dishes – made the spicy cucumber salad, and pan-fried some dumplings. It was perfect a New Year Day dinner.
